Our Tailoring Program offers both beginner and advanced classes, providing women with practical sewing skills using traditional treadle machines. Participants learn everything from basic stitching and garment construction to more advanced techniques — empowering them with the skills needed to gain employment or start their own tailoring business.
It’s more than sewing – it’s a pathway to independence, income, and confidence.

Didi Foundation believes that one person can make a difference and that is what our cooking students did.
As part of their cooking training course the students prepared a take away meal which they personally delivered to the Sundarijal Children’s Home. Collectively, they also raised funds to purchase fresh fruit and supplies.
Fabulous work cooking team.

It was a privilege to have Rotary International President Jennifer E. Jones, her husband Nick and Nepal’s District Governor Jitendra B. Rajbhandary make an official visit to Didi Foundation Headquarters in Mulpani Kathmandu. We were honoured to be one of the few Rotary projects to be selected for her visit during her three day trip to Nepal.
RI President Jennifer Jones was able to witness first hand how The Didi Foundation with the support of Rotary has not only educated thousands of women but strived for sustainability with the Didi’s Swing Café and Bakery and Didi’s Cooperative.
We appreciated how she was sincerely interested in our work to empower women. She took great interest and emotional empathy in the stories of, and dreams of our women.
Thank you to the iconic, RI President Jennifer Jones for your time and beautiful message you wrote to us.
The Didi Foundation would not be the successful entity and model that it is without the support of the Rotary Club of Northlakes Toukley, Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS), the many Rotary clubs in District 9685 and the support the Rotary Club of Rudramati, Nepal.
Thank you, Didi Foundations co-founder, Sudip Koirala for your vision to support to empower women and the amazing Didi team in Nepal who made this moment in time, so successful.
