Didi extended a warm welcome to His Excellency Peter Budd, Australian Ambassador to Nepal when he visited the Didi Headquarters on 12 April to see the work being done by our organisation to empower women. Mayor Krishna Hari Thapa was also present to support this momentous day.

His Excellency met with women who are engaged in a range of vocational training programs. He visited the sewing workshop where women make re-usable sanitary pads that Didi distributes to school girls and to women in need, as part of their welfare program. Didi Nepal also showcased their social enterprise business that manufactures aprons and bags that are sold on the open market. H.E.also paid a visit to Mulpani where construction continues on building the new Didi Headquarters.
